VOCO International Mobilities Break Records!
The 2025/2026 school year has officially broken all previous records for international student and staff exchanges at Tartu Vocational College!
Thanks to our active Erasmus+ KA1 accreditation, we managed to send a record 218 students abroad for short-term practices, group learning, and vocational skill competitions. Along with them, 113 of our teachers and staff members traveled for job-shadowing, teaching assignments, and professional development courses to bring cutting-edge knowledge back home.
Internationalization is a two-way street, and our campus has never felt more alive. This year, VOCO welcomed 188 international students and hosted 103 foreign educators! These high numbers were achieved mostly through 6 specialized vocational courses taught completely in English, as well as various group mobilities. Through strong partnerships with local businesses, we were also able to offer high-quality apprenticeship and practical work experiences right here in our local companies.
We were equally thrilled to host foreign teachers at VOCO, strengthening our mutual cooperation with schools and educational organizations across Europe and even from the USA.
In addition to mobilities, we place a strong focus on strategic cooperation and innovation. VOCO is currently engaged in 11 Erasmus+ KA2 projects, 3 Centers of Vocational Excellence (CoVE), 2 KA3 initiatives, and various regional projects. These strategic collaborations focus directly on forward-looking industries and innovative teaching methodologies. Key areas include hydrogen technology, hybrid and electric vehicle diagnostics, industrial robotics, microcredentials, and powerful learning environments.
A big thank you to all our international coordinators, dedicated staff, and partners who made this record-breaking year possible!
