Last Wednesday, 27 March, the international professional championships “Learn, Know, Do, Can, Show” took place in Riga. Vocational students from 37 schools in 12 different countries competed. In total, 13 different competitions took place.
Tartu Vocational College was represented by 13 students who competed in eight different areas. As many as seven of them managed to win a valuable medal.

Meat Masters Competition:
1st place – Rander Arumägi (LT23), teacher Kristi Luht.
3rd place – Jarno Nukka (LT23), teacher Kamilla Lüdikainen

Pastry competition:
1st place – Kadi Lepp (PK22), mentored by Anneli Ummik

Bakery competition:
2nd place – Mirelle Harak (PK22), tutored by Ruth Kandi

Chef competition:
2nd place – Angela Aavik (K121), mentored by Kairi Timusk

Hairdressing competition:
3rd place – Anette Talviste (ILU23), teacher Elo Õun and UT Vocational Education and Training trainee Liisa Libov (Model: Laura Laas (ILU23)).

Tourism Destination Competition:
2nd place – Diana Penkova (TK22), tutor Ene Reedi.

Congratulations to the medallists and their supervisors!

In addition to them, Katrin Krihvel (PK21), pastry chef, mentored by Gerda Ode, and Jaano Viese (Tep23), restaurant service, mentored by Tiina Kärner, also took part in the competition. In the fashion and styling competition, the participants were Getter Kelder (KRR23), instructed by Helin Liiv and Maiu Praakli, Sandra Pomjalov (ILU23), instructed by Maiu Praakli, and model Eke-Tõnis Meriste (KRR23). Thanks to all the students and instructors for their successful participation and preparation.

A total of 28 participants were part of the VOCO´s  delegation at the Riga School of Tourism and Creative Economy. Participation in the competition was financed by the Erasmus+ mobility project “VOCO Mobility 2022-2023”.
