Green Skills for Hydrogen (Green Skills 4H2)

The growth of the hydrogen industry presents a significant economic and environmental opportunity for Europe, but it also creates considerable labour market challenges.

Green Skills for Hydrogen will help meet EU targets by fast-tracking the upskilling and reskilling of students and members of the workforce all over Europe. Workers in declining sectors and transition regions will also benefit from upskilling and reskilling opportunities, through VET programmes that will enable them to access new employment opportunities within the Hydrogen sector.

The project will:

  • Design and implement a Hydrogen Skills Strategy
  • Develop, test and rollout VET programmes across Europe
  • Establish a partnership between Industry and Education

Green Skills for Hydrogen VET programmes and qualifications will anticipate the latest market needs and leverage EU instruments and tools, providing continuous green and digital skills, and ongoing career development to empower workers and technical professionals.
