Upper secondary connection in Finland and Estonia
The main objective of this project is to strengthen and develop the co-operation between the teachers and students of the preparatory education for vocational education and training in Finland and Estonia. This will be done by exchanging the experiences and good practices all the partners have developed in preparatory education including curriculums and teaching methods, such as the use of Thinglink, Gimkit and social media.
Some of the goals of preparatory education in both countries are to strengthen the students’ knowledge and abilities as well as to make students more mature and independent. Hence, another aim of this project is to achieve these goals by class exchanges. One aim is to help plan the support center of vocational education in Estonia by exchanging experiences on the Finnish special education and the network of supporting services such as Luovi, Luotsi, Ohjaamo, TE-toimisto,
Mihkelsoni Keskus, Töötukassa.
The aims of this project will be achieved by four class exchanges. A team of seven Finnish students and two teachers will visit Estonia in the autumn of 2020. A similar-sized Estonian team will visit Finland in December 2020. Both visits will be repeated in 2021 in order to create a continuum of cultural co- operation. Before the class exchanges the students will familiarize with each other via digital tools, such as Thinglink, Skype and social media. The languages used will be Finnish and Estonian.
The outcome of this project will be presented on a Thinglink interactive image, where videos and other material of the mobilities will be posted.
