“Micros Under the Magnifying Glass: The Role of Micro-Credentials in Vocational and Continuing Education”

The Estonian educational landscape is evolving, and micro-credentials are part of this change. While the TÄKS, which came into force in April, has provided a clear framework for action, the offering of micro-credential courses in vocational and continuing education in Estonia remains modest. Why is that? Are we not seeing their potential? Are we afraid of the new? Are there obstacles we can’t overcome?

We invite you to the seminar “Micros Under the Magnifying Glass: The Role of Micro-Credentials in Vocational and Continuing Education” to explore this topic more broadly and understand how we can offer learners flexible and effective micro-trainings through micro-credentials.

the seminar will be held in Estonian language and takes place September 23 from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM in Tartu, at the Tartu Nature House (Lille 10, Tartu).

The seminar agenda is packed with practical value for organizers of adult education and training:

  • We’ll start the day with an overview from the Ministry of Education and Research on the launch of micro-credential studies in Estonia.
  • We’ll hear international perspectives and experiences from Tartu VOCO.
  • After lunch, we’ll dive into two practical workshops where you can get hands-on experience and learn how to create a micro-credential model and manage training quality.

Participation is free, but advance registration is required.
